Help yourself while in a Panic Attack
Panic attack is the matter of a while only and it ends in a few minutes. So the very first thing is to acquire a positive attitude.
Here are some self-help tips to fight panic:
Know more: Reading a lot on anxiety makes you aware of handling such situations. You will know that these attacks are normal and will be out of it soon.
Accept: When you are attacked admit it. Say yourself that you are just afraid and not in any kind of danger. This is reality. Then accept the fact that you are already in a worse situation. It is just like an ache and it will go away.
Wait: Just do nothing. Count and calm yourself.
Divert:Involve yourself in the surroundings. Talk to your companion to divert your mind from the present anxiety.
Breathing: Slow down your breathing. Inhale and exhale deeply. This will calm down your nerves.
Medication: If you are aware of your attacks then carry anti-anxiety pills.
Meditation: Practice yoga to relax your muscles and nervous system.
